Lili Se Fait Piéger Sur Internet

Lili Se Fait Piéger Sur Internet - Dominique de Saint Mars, Serge Bloch Not one of the best ones. Lili and Max have just acquired a new computer, and we're given a rapid tour of things that kids need to watch out for. They stumble over a porn site and can't switch off all the annoying pop-ups; Valentine, who's already shaping up to be a real bitch at age eight, uses her cellphone to photograph Lili scratching her butt, then posts it on her blog; Lili advertises for help on how to remove the offending picture, and nearly gets trapped by another paedophile. Unfortunately, the author tries to cram in a little too much material in the 45 pages she has available, and it ends up feeling uncharacteristically confused and hurried.

Even the relatively uninspired volumes always have a few good moments though. I loved the bit where they find the porn site. "Ewwwww!" says Lili, covering her eyes. "That's SO GROSS!!!!". The cat feels the same way. But Max immediately presses the Print Screen button and takes the hot pic to school with him next morning. You see him at recess, proudly holding it up while all his friends cluster round to get a peek. Alas, his moment of glory is short-lived: Mom finds it under his bed when she's cleaning, and he has to use all his charm to talk his way out of the resulting storm. Kids, remember to quit while you're ahead!
