Le modèle standard

Le modèle standard - Francis Massé
Bought the other day at the CERN gift shop; either you're going to think it's funny or you aren't, explanations are unlikely to make a difference. Here's the cover in a larger size:

"At that crucial moment, Marcello was struck by a brutally broken symmetry."

And here are a couple more sample pages that I particularly liked:

On the left, "Subramanyan was infuriated to find that most of the universe's missing mass had ended up just there." On the right, "Barely awake, Matter opened the door to meet Anti-matter, and they both realized that their annihilation was imminent."

More free viewing here. The book is beautifully produced!
